Quality 4.0 Techniques in Manufacturing
Abstract
Purpose: To revolutionize today's manufacturing system, the standards 4.0 concept seeks to build smart factories outfitted with smart gear to produce smart and intelligent items. The primary objective of this research is to identify barriers to implementing Quality 4.0 in the industrial sector and propose solutions.
Design/Methodology/approach: Several enablers that can influence the adoption of Quality 4.0 in the manufacturing industry.
Finding: The results indicate that government-subsidized Internet access, financial assistance, and ongoing specialized skills training are the most influential catalysts since they possess a significant driving force.
Practical implications: A proper understanding of these enablers will help the management and legislators to explore the effect of each enabler on other enablers, as well as the degree of relationship among them, and to take proactive steps to ensure the practical launch of Quality 4.0 in the manufacturing industry.
